🛋️ Weekly Rest Day

  • You are entitled to one full rest day per week (25 hours)
  • Usually Friday evening to Saturday evening, or Sunday
  • Rest day should be the same day each week

If You Work on Your Rest Day

If your employer asks you to work on your rest day, you must receive:

  • 150% bonus on top of your regular pay
  • Calculation: 150% × (daily rate + hourly rate) = ₪439.73

💡 Tip: You cannot be forced to work on your rest day. It must be by agreement, and you must be paid extra.

Rest time during the week

According to the Supreme Court ruling, the employee is entitled to rest during the workday, but this rest takes place inside the patient's home while the patient is resting. There is no legal obligation to allow the caregiver to leave the house every day (no legal right for two hours outside the home!).

Religious Holidays

  • You are entitled to 9 paid holidays per year
  • You can choose: Israeli holidays OR holidays of your religion
  • You must tell your employer at the start which holidays you want

If You Work on a Religious Holiday

Same as rest day: 150% bonus = ₪439.73. Payed at the month the religious holiday occured.

In case the religious Holiday is at the same day as the weekly rest day and you worked during that day - there is no double payment (429.73 at total).

✈️ Annual Vacation
